Privacy Policy

Scope of application

This privacy statement explains to users the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the provider of this website. The legal basis of data protection can be found in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

Access data / Server log files

The provider (or its web space provider respectively) collects data on each access to the offer (so-called server log files). The access data includes:

Name of the requested web page, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, browser type plus version, the operating system of the user, referrer URL (previously visited page), IP address, and the requesting provider.

The provider uses the data for statistical analysis, for the purpose of business operations, safety and the optimisation of the offer. The provider retains the right, however, to check the log data at a later point if there is reasonable suspicion of unlawful use due to concrete indications.

Handling of personal data

Personal information is information that will help make a person identifiable, i.e., data that can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, email address or telephone number. However, data concerning preferences, hobbies, memberships or which web pages were viewed by someone are counted as personal data.

Personal data is only collected, used and passed on by the provider if permitted by law or by user consent to the data collection.

Getting in touch

When contacting the provider (for example via the contact form or e-mail) the details of the user are saved in order to process the request, and for the case that follow-up questions arise.

Integration of services and content of third parties

It is possible that within this online offer, third party content is integrated from other websites such as YouTube videos, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics. This always requires that the provider of such content (hereinafter referred to as “third party provider”) acknowledges the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of each user. The IP address is required in order to present this content. We strive to only use such content where the respective providers use the IP address for the delivery of the content only. However, we have no control over whether or not the third party stores the IP address for statistical purposes. Insofar as this is known to us, we will inform our users of this.

Google Analytics

For the analysis of the use of the website Google Analytics is used. Google Analytics, a web analysis tool of Google Inc. (hereinafter “Google”) uses cookies, which are text files which are placed in the User’s computer to facilitate the analysis of the use of the website by the User. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on a server located in the United States.

Only in exceptional cases the whole IP address will be first transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP-anonymisation is activated on this website.

On behalf of this site, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating the use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services to this site relating to website activity and internet usage. In certain circumstances Google will associate the User’s IP address with any other data held by Google. The placement of cookies may be disabled by selecting the appropriate settings on the User’s browser. I would like to point out that in such case the User may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore, the User can prevent Google’s collection and use of data (incl. IP address) by downloading and installing a browser plug-in.
